Importing data
Data can be entered or pasted manually (e.g. from another spreadsheet software), uploaded from a local device or imported from an online source. Supported data file formats are .xls, .xlsx, or .csv. You can also get started by using one of the built-in sample datasets that are associated with each trace type.
- Enter / Paste
- Upload
- Import from URL
- Use example data
You can enter the data directly into the grid, or simply copy and paste it from any spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel or Google Sheets). Please note that only raw data will be copied, we currently do not support copying formulas.

You can import .xls, .xlsx, or .csv files directly into the data grid. Head to your workspace, click on the 'Import' button next to your username in the top-right corner of the browser window, and select .
In the 'Import' popup window you can upload a data file from your local drive under the 'Upload' tab. You can either click the 'Upload' button or simply drag and drop the file into the window.
You can also choose whether the imported data should replace an existing data grid, or be saved as a new grid.

You can also import data directly from your file management area.
You can upload data by entering the URL of an online data set. Please note that Figlinq only supports secured URLs (HTTPS). The accepted file formats are the same as in the case of direct upload (.xls, .xlsx or .csv).
This way you can also directly import data from any public grids created by Figlinq's users.

You can also use the example data sets that are associated with each of the different chart types supported by Figlinq.

The imported data are stored in data grids which can be saved, shared, exported and organized in folders. Data grids resemble Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets grids, and will very soon support Excel-like formulas, including a wide array of statistical and other methods to facilitate data processing within the platform.
