Creating & sharing plots in guest mode
Figlinq allows anyone to create and share plots without an account, we call this guest mode. In this mode, the navigation bar in the chart editor includes extra buttons that allow this. The buttons are only visible when you are not logged in.
To create and share a plot in guest mode, follow these steps:
- Visit the data & visualization area and log out if you are currently logged in.
- Visualize your data. For example, open the 'Structure > Traces' panel on the left and then click the 'Add' button to add a trace. Select trace type and select data sources, or click the 'Example' link to create a trace based on a sample dataset.
- Click the 'Save and share' link in the navigation bar to save the plot and data, and generate a unique link that you can copy and share with others. If you want to reset the plot and data, click the 'Reset' button.
- The plot and data can be reopened and edited, but clicking the 'Save and share' button will always create new files and generate a new unique link. The previous link will remain valid, but it will point to the previous version of your plot.
Single data grid in guest mode
In guest mode, only a single data grid can be associated with a plot. If you create multiple data grids, you will need to close all except one before saving.
